Vocab Unit Level C Unit 8

Did you know ........ Mah

"Above in beauteous Italy lies a lake at the foot

alp that shuts in Germany Over Tyrol, and has the name Benaco."

Oh
Gay Moovida Merano, this triplet is taken from the twentieth canto of Dante's
which served their penalty soothsayers, magicians and gang-like.

The triplet in question is part of a series in which Virgil explains to Dante the origins of Mantua (his homeland), looking first of all to give a geographical picture of the complex ecosystem that gave rise to the marshes where he stop Manto (daughter of the soothsayer Tiresias) guessing itself and hence the name: Mantova.

But what is important is the triplet, described above, we Merano? The fact that it is quoted: " Castle Tyrol. Tiralli would be as well known in Ladino, the ancient castle guarding the Ă–tztal Alps (part of the Rhaetian Alps) that mark the southern boundary Germanic countries (Lamagna).

So Moovida Merano oh, if only as a geographical feature, we are in Divine Comedy !!!!!
Ave!
